This workshop is for individuals who need to learn and unpack the ABC's of Race Relations in the USA & the world (this is a global issue). This is the very first step before you can take action in your daily life. You need to know these terms and concepts before you can think about applying it to your business, school, or community. I'm a Spanish Teacher at heart, therefore I approach this like I prepare to teach Spanish. First I teach vocabulary, then sentence/grammatical structures, and then the verbs and conjugations in order to form coherent sentences. Then you use these skills to be able to speak the language. The same is true for dismantling our systems of oppression in society. We must learn these new terms and actively participate in the growing pains of what it means to unlearn internalized racism in our lives. Where to start - What terms and concepts you need to know in order to begin this journey of Diversity and Inclusion in the workforce, schools, or your community.
Anyone with a basic desire to show up and be an active bystander in their community & eager to learn
Should have a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or a mobile device to listen to the workshop
Should have access to internet via WiFi or Mobile data
Should allow access to the computer to download files
